1. Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy applies to the Kind Coin main website at realkindcoin.com and related pages that link to this Policy (the “Site”). “Kind Coin,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Site. This Policy does not replace the privacy terms of third-party services, exchanges, wallets, payment providers, crowdfunding providers, social networks, or websites that you choose to use.
For privacy questions or requests, contact together@realkindcoin.com.
2. Information we collect
We do not ask you to submit Social Security numbers, government IDs, payment-card data, or other highly sensitive information through the main Site unless a specific feature clearly requests it.
3. Sources of information
We collect information directly from you; automatically from your browser, device, and our hosting/security systems; from service providers that help operate the Site; and, where relevant, from public sources such as public blockchain networks or public social profiles that you choose to share with us.
4. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site and future Kind Coin services.
- Process newsletter and Founding Member signups, send requested updates, and maintain opt-out records.
- Respond to questions, partnership requests, support messages, and other communications.
- Detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms.
- Measure Site performance and understand aggregate engagement.
- Develop, test, and launch new features, subject to appropriate notice and consent where required.
- Comply with law, lawful process, sanctions requirements, regulatory obligations, and enforce our agreements.
- Protect the rights, safety, property, and integrity of Kind Coin, our users, and others.
5. How we disclose information
We may disclose personal information to vendors and service providers that perform services for us, including hosting, infrastructure, security, email delivery, analytics or diagnostic services, professional advisers, and communications tools. Our current email signup flow may use MailerLite or a successor provider to maintain subscriptions and deliver messages.
We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process; to investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity; to protect rights and safety; in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction; or with your direction or consent.
We do not currently sell personal information for money, and we do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by applicable U.S. state privacy laws. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide legally required choices.
6. Cookies, pixels, and similar technology
The Site and its service providers may use cookies, local storage, server logs, pixels, or similar technologies that are necessary for functionality, security, preferences, communications, and measurement. Third-party content, such as externally hosted fonts, videos, social content, or other embedded services, may receive technical information when your browser connects to them.
Where applicable law requires consent or an opt-out for nonessential tracking, we will provide the required control. Browser settings may also allow you to block or delete cookies, although some features may not function correctly.
7. Blockchain and wallet information
Some planned Kind Coin features may interact with public blockchains. Public blockchain records can be permanent, globally visible, and outside Kind Coin’s ability to alter or delete. If you connect a wallet or conduct an on-chain transaction, your wallet address and transaction information may become publicly associated with your activity. Do not use a wallet address you consider private.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide services, maintain subscription and consent records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal/accounting/security requirements, and establish or defend legal claims. Retention periods vary by data type and context. Public blockchain records are not controlled by Kind Coin and may be permanent.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission, storage system, smart contract, wallet, or blockchain system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your own devices, email account, wallet credentials, seed phrases, and passwords. Kind Coin will never need your wallet seed phrase or private key.
10. U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on where you live and whether a particular state privacy law applies to us, you may have rights to request access to or confirmation of personal information we process; correction; deletion; portability; information about categories of information collected and disclosed; and opt-out rights concerning sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. Some states also provide rights regarding sensitive personal information, authorized agents, appeals, and protection from discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
To make a request, email together@realkindcoin.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If applicable law provides an appeal right, you may appeal a denied request by replying to our decision and stating that you wish to appeal.
If we become subject to a law that requires recognition of a legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will honor it as required.
11. California notice at collection
For California residents, the categories of personal information we may collect include identifiers; internet or other electronic network activity; commercial or subscription records; approximate location inferred from IP address; professional or organizational information you provide; and communications or user-provided content. We collect these categories for the business and commercial purposes described in Section 4 and disclose them to the categories of recipients described in Section 5.
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under California law unless we provide the required notice and choice. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
12. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action. Transactional, token, wallet, campaign, and donation features may have higher minimum-age requirements under their separate terms.
13. Email communications
If you sign up for updates, we may send you informational, community, product, and promotional messages consistent with your signup. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the message. We may still send non-marketing communications when necessary for a transaction, legal notice, security matter, or request you initiated.
14. Third-party links and services
The Site may link to third-party platforms, including KIA, social networks, wallet providers, blockchains, exchanges, payment services, or other websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party privacy or security practices.
15. International visitors
Kind Coin is based around U.S.-oriented operations and may use service providers in the United States and other countries. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data-protection laws. Where additional legal requirements apply, we will use appropriate mechanisms as required.
16. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as our services, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised Policy and update the “Last updated” date. If required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change applies.
17. Contact us
Questions, complaints, and privacy requests may be sent to together@realkindcoin.com. Please include enough information for us to understand and respond to your request, but do not email passwords, seed phrases, private keys, full payment-card numbers, CVC codes, or unnecessary identity documents.
